The 5 trillion dollar world logistics sector has shown that it is a strategic sector in the Pandemic

Explaining that the Pandemic, which deeply affected the world, imprisoned 4.5 billion people in their homes for months at the same time, Tırport Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Akin Arslan stated the following:

“The Covid-19 virus has stopped life in the world and the world economy has entered a period of recession unprecedented in its history. The parking spaces at the airports were not enough for thousands of planes that could not fly, the oil consumption of 100 million barrels per day fell by 30%, the global energy demand decreased by 15%, and over 150 million employees lost their jobs in 4 months. In this process, hundreds of thousands of trucks were on the road every day to feed the people in quarantine at home and to deliver the needed goods on time. The fact that the world logistics sector, which has a size of 5 trillion dollars as of the beginning of 2020, is a strategic sector for the survival of humanity has been seen once again. The logistics sector will continue to grow rapidly in our country and in the world. It is expected that the sector will grow by more than 30% on average in the next 5 years and reach a size of 6.5 trillion dollars.”
