MAERSK Line is the 7th Largest in the World. Incorporated Hamburg Süd, a Container Line

MAERSK Line, the world’s largest container company, announced that they have purchased Hamburg Süd, which many world container giants aspire to. Soren Skou , CEO of MAERSK Line, stated that he is satisfied with this acquisition and that it is an important milestone in the history of MAERKS Line.

With the acquisition, MAERSK Line added 741 ships to its fleet, and increased its turnover of 23 billion dollars to 30 billion dollars. The share of MAERSK Line in the world container market increased from 15’7% to 18’6%.
