Completing the investment round led by Finberg, Tırport received an investment of approximately 2 million dollars.
Digital logistics platform Tırport completed its investment round led by Finberg and with the participation of existing investors with approximately 2 million dollars.
Stating that the investment in Tırport is Finberg’s first investment in the field of logistics technologies, İhsan Elgin, Member of the Board of Directors of Finberg, said: “With this investment, we support the growth of a platform that pioneers the digital transformation of the logistics industry in Turkey. We believe that this investment in Tırport, which acts with the mission of accelerating the digital transformation of the ever-growing logistics industry both in Turkey and in the region, will play an important role in further developing the services they provide and accelerating their efforts to expand abroad.”
Fibabanka General Manager and Board Member Ömer Mert emphasized that Fibabanka continues to support Turkey’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and strengthen the fintech muscles of startups by investing in innovative and technology-oriented companies such as Tırport and said, “As the solution partner of Tırport in payments, we have created a cooperation that combines the power of logistics technology and financial technology. With this cooperation, we aim to contribute to both the growth and digital transformation of the market.”
Dr. Akın Arslan, co-founder of Tırport, said: “This investment is a very important milestone in Tırport’s global journey, and it is the first time that a Digital Forwarder has taken a bank as an organic solution partner in this process.”
Arslan said, “90% of transportation in Turkey is carried out by road, and we aim to reach a market share of over 5% in our country, where over 100 million dollars in freight payments are made every day, and to be the first address that comes to mind when over 300 thousand individual truck owners are looking for freight.”
Truckers Will Receive Their Payments with Fibabanka Assurance
As part of the investment, Fibabanka became the solution partner of Tırport’s payment services. Thanks to this cooperation, truckers working with Tırport will start receiving their payments with Fibabanka assurance within 24 hours after delivering their cargo.
This payment service brokered by TIRPORT is expected to transform the service concept in the sector.
Tırport, which provides services from all digital platforms (iOS, Android, web) with its augmented intelligence-supported technologies and has more than 100 thousand member truckers, aims to reinforce its leadership as a “digital forwarder” in the market with this new investment.
