Cargo Driver Disappears With 1 Million Cargo

The driver, who worked as a subcontractor in the cargo and logistics company, disappeared with the automotive and technology products worth 1 million TL, which he took from Istanbul to Bursa. Headquartered in Istanbul Ataşehir, the logistics company with 250 employees across Turkey was working with subcontractors during busy delivery periods.

A verbal agreement has been reached with the subcontractor they have applied for for 3 years to provide both rental car and driver support. Necati K., the driver assigned by the company, went to the transfer center in Ataşehir on 17 March. Textile, automotive and technology products worth 1 million TL were loaded onto the truck. Necessary documents were signed, contract was made.

The truck set off to go to Bursa. Employees became suspicious when there was no news for a long time from the driver, who was expected to deliver to the warehouse in Bursa in the morning. The driver, who was reached in the morning, said that the vehicle had malfunctioned in Sakarya and was in the repair shop. When the truck did not reach its destination even after hours, the police were informed. During the controls, it was determined that the vehicle did not enter Sakarya and that the driver’s license, license and invoice were fake. It turned out that the real owner of all the information used in the signed documents and the license plate was Şahin Demir, who was engaged in transportation works in Elazığ and lost his identity 4 months ago, and that the vehicle had twin plates. Finally, the driver, who was caught on the security camera while buying diesel from a station, is wanted everywhere.
