Electronic Pre-Declaration Obligation in Azerbaijan

It was declared that before entering the customs territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, electronic pre-declaration to the relevant entry office will be obligatory.

In the letter of the International Union of Road Transport (IRU): According to the information received from the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was stated that as of 01.02.2019, all transports will be required to submit an electronic pre-declaration to the relevant entry office before entering the customs territory of the Azerbaijan Republic.

In this context, it is reported in a related letter that the IRU TIR EPD System (electronic summary pre-declaration system) fully complies with the requirements of the customs authorities of the Azerbaijan Republic and can be used for transportation to the Azerbaijan Republic.
