Amazon Starts Working with CargoX, Logistics StartUp in Brazil

Amazon is starting to work with its logistics StartUp, CargoX , on a pilot program to use high-security trucks for the delivery of expensive goods in Brazil.

It was announced by Bloomberg that e-commerce giant Amazon is working on a project that combines truckers and logistics operations using Goldman Sachs- backed CargoX . As of June, 7000 registered drivers take part in the pilot program.

After being in the book market for 5 years in Brazil, Amazon started the electrical appliances market a year ago. Amazon is 11th in the Brazilian e-commerce market after B2W Cia Digital, Magazine Luiza SA and Alibaba’s Aliexpress. MercadoLibre currently ranks top in the e-commerce market in Brazil.
