In Turkey, according to January 2021 data, there are 3,938,732 pickup trucks and 859,670 trucks registered to traffic. In our country, which has the largest truck market in Europe, approximately 450 thousand trucks carry FTL every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up to 1.2 million SRC-certified truck drivers are chasing loads on the roads, worrying about their bread. On average, a trucker waits up to 33 hours to unload, according to TIRPORTInsights data. In order to find a new load, it may search for up to 2.5 days. 1\/3 of the trucks on the roads in the country are running empty. The more striking result is that 82% of our trucks going to Europe return empty, with an average of 4,500 trucks leaving the western border crossings every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noting that a trucker in Turkey makes 5-6 trips on average per month and that this can be increased to at least 8-9 times with digital technologies, TIRPORT Operations Director Bar\u0131\u015f An\u0131l said:

T\u0131rport Operations Director Bar\u0131\u015f An\u0131l stated that trucks have started to pass to second generation drivers and said: \u201cAccording to their analysis at TIRPORT, 62% of drivers are between the ages of 27-45 and the driver’s side is getting younger. We can say that a new generation of truckers who are more prone to technology is coming.
