Global E-Commerce Volume to Reach $7 Trillion in 2023
Worldwide, e-Commerce was triggered by the pandemic and entered a rapid growth process. The share of global e-commerce in total retail sales has exceeded 21%. It is predicted that this ratio will exceed 25% in a few years and will reach 50% in the next 5-10 years. By adopting e-commerce, consumers continue to direct their shopping habits to e-commerce. The rate of e-commerce in total retail sales in the world was around 10% in 2019, and the e-commerce volume was approximately 4 trillion dollars. Again, before the pandemic, e-commerce rates were 20% in China, 14% in the USA, 12% on average in Europe and 6% in Turkey.
